Fellow classmate and member of RSM Net Impact Nodira Khakimjdanova shared her experience at RSM Net Impact's trip to the Mills of Kinderdijk (UNESCO heritage site):

The trip to the Mills of Kinderdijk was on August 8th . The Mills of Kinderdijk are considered as one of the major attractions in the Netherlands. It’s located 16 km from Rotterdam and has 19 windmills in total. Mills were built for the purpose of draining the Alblasserwaard polders which suffered from floods in the 13th century.
Nowadays, Mills of Kinderdijk are one of the most visited places by tourists in the Netherlands. Anyone who has ever been there can admire the beauty of nature and learn much about its rich history.
The trip was organized by Net Impact club for the purpose of educating MBA students regarding the History and culture of the Dutch. I believe that all of us enjoyed this event as well as taking beautiful pictures of the site. As for me, I had my birthday that day and decided to cycle to the Mills of Kinderdijk on my newly-bought bike. So for me it was a special day - not only because I was a birthday girl but also because I have never ever cycled such a long distance on a bike. Fortunately, everything exceeded my expectations that day. Therefore, the trip to the Mills of Kinderdijk became one of the most enjoyable MBA experiences.

The Dutch water management system is profound, and it was amazing to witness the mills which were erected many centuries ago. Thank you Nodira for sharing your personal account of the event.
