Inclusiv is the largest network of community development financial institutions (CDFIs) with a mission to promote financial inclusion in low-income communities across the country. Through our network of more than 500 community development credit unions, Inclusiv reaches more than 20 million people with limited incomes and/or who live in historically redlined communities. Inclusiv is responsible for the management of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) program, supporting credit union lenders to spark and scale emission-reducing clean energy projects.


Inclusiv is seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Credit Union Engagement for Green Lending Initiatives to lead efforts in engaging, recruiting, and supporting credit unions interested in applying to Inclusiv’s grant program for green lending, (the Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) program). This transformational program will direct grants to credit unions, over 4-5 years, to build and scale clean energy projects that will reduce carbon emissions while equitably targeting 100% of all resources toward low-income and disadvantaged communities (LIDACs) that would otherwise be left behind in a greening economy.


This role is ideal for a professional with experience in credit union engagement and network building, and general knowledge of credit union operations. The Director will be based within Inclusiv’ s Network department and will collaborate closely with the Center for Resiliency and Clean Energy to create a national strategy for promoting credit union green lending initiatives and recruit credit unions to apply for green lending grants.


Position Overview:
The Director will play a key role in advancing Inclusiv’s grant program for credit unions, the Clean Communities Investment Accelerator (CCIA) program, by leading credit union outreach and engagement efforts. The Director will also be responsible for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with credit unions nationwide, driving their engagement in green lending initiatives.
This is a strategic leadership role with the opportunity to build and grow a dedicated team, making a substantial impact on promoting green lending within the credit union industry. The Director will report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and will collaborate across multiple departments to ensure the success of the CCIA program.
 

Key Responsibilities:

National Strategy Development for Credit Union Engagement
o Design and implement a comprehensive strategy to engage credit unions in Inclusiv’ s CCIA program.
o Develop a project plan with clear deliverables for credit union outreach and support.
o Work with marketing and communications team to inform the development of resources and materials (e.g., presentations, website content, social media) to educate credit unions on the CCIA program.
o Build and sustain relationships with credit unions interested in green lending, maintaining a process for tracking engagement, via Inclusiv’s customer relationship management software platform (Salesforce).
o Organize Inclusiv sessions and represent Inclusiv at regional credit union events and convenings across the country.
o Develop strategy for and oversee execution of Inclusiv CCIA outreach and engagement events for credit unions across the country.

Application Recruitment and Support
o Lead the recruitment of credit unions for the CCIA program by developing and executing a national strategy.
o Work with marketing and communications team to inform the management of a multi-channel outreach and communications campaign to drive credit unions to Inclusiv’s CCIA program and application process.
o Collaborate with the Center for Resiliency and Clean Energy to develop and manage an application pipeline that aligns with CCIA requirements.
o Oversee the application pipeline, guiding credit unions to move to the application stage.
o Provide tailored support to credit unions throughout the application process, addressing their specific needs and challenges.
 

Leadership and Collaboration
o Work closely with the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives to develop a plan for expanding the CCIA network team.
o Collaborate with internal departments to ensure coordination and alignment of CCIA program goals and objectives.
o Engage with external partners and stakeholders to advance Inclusiv’ s mission of promoting green lending in the credit union industry.
Additional Responsibilities
o Perform other duties as needed and as projects evolve.
o Position requires 25% travel across the US.


Qualifications:
o Commitment to Inclusiv’ s mission to help low- and moderate-income people and communities achieve financial independence.
o Proven experience in credit union engagement or network building, or other comparable experience with financial institutions.

o Experience in managing recruitment pipelines and grant application processes is preferred.
o Strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by credit unions.
o Experience tracking business development, outreach, or sales pipeline in Salesforce.com or similar customer relationship management (CRM) software platform.
o Familiarity with credit union green lending is very welcome, but not required.
o Strong project management, organization, and written and oral communication skills.
o Experience effectively managing multiple projects across different internal and external constituents to drive results.
o Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
o Proven track record of leading successful programs and initiatives focused on credit union financial inclusion and community development.
o Proven track record of building and nurturing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
o Demonstrated ability to manage programs and build relationships in communities of color, particularly in African American and Hispanic communities
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Dedication to always producing the highest quality work and motivation to constantly seek new and better ways to reach goals.
o Skilled in working across multiple teams and with diverse stakeholders to create inclusive and collaborative processes and outcomes

Location: This role is located in New York City. Occasional travel will be required for conferences, site visits, and all-staff gatherings.


Salary: The salary range for this position starts at $120,000 annually. We will consider a higher salary for candidates with more experience.
