Florida Non-Profit Housing, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified nonprofit leader with the ability to manage the development and execution of the organization's operational policies while identifying, planning, and executing new programs and initiatives. The Deputy Director is a highly visible management position that reports to the Executive Director. 

 

Operational Duties:

  • Work with the Executive Director to develop FNPH internal administrative, human resource, financial, and technological process, procedures, and policies as appropriate.
  • Manage and expand the company website to include organization’s history and accomplishments and create a more user-friendly site that supports the mission and programs of FNPH.
  • Support management in the organization’s strategic plan, budget, and fundraising strategy.
  • Create a supportive environment that fosters personal accountability, responsibility, and commitment to FNPH’s goals and values.
  • Assist the Executive Director in identifying and following through on new program opportunities and initiatives, focused on creating homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income people.
  • Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for monitoring and implementing the Strategic Plan

 

Programmatic Duties:

  • Responsible for understanding and knowing the Self Help and Rural Development single family mortgage and rehabilitation programs. Monitor legislative changes that affect rural housing on the National, State, and Local levels.
  • Provide guidance, as requested by the Executive Director, for program activities including outreach, volunteer coordination, and partnerships development, as well as public relations.
  • Oversee the operation of the Self-Help Program, and be familiar with programmatic guidelines and goals, and federal compliance.
  • Recruit and Train new staff.
  • Expand opportunities for homeownership in Highlands County and surrounding areas.

 

Board:

  • Serve as a secondary liaison to the board of trustees.
  • Assists in board communications and activities
