This month our speakers will be Rowan Richards, Executive Director, The Stewards Market, from Goodcity and Victoria Zimmerman the Manager for US Sustainability at McDonalds. Rowan Richards, Executive Director, The Stewards Market
Joining the Good City team in April of 2015 as a Business Development Consultant, Rowan also teaches a Personal and Career Development class through Roosevelt University. Much of Rowan’s experience in the social impact space came from launching The Stewards Market in 2006 and leading it full time since 2010. Prior to 2010, Rowan was a senior trader at Marquette Partners, L.P., with nine years of experience in the domestic and international futures industry. Before joining Marquette Partners, he played minor league baseball with the Texas Rangers organization for four years, following a successful collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame. Rowan graduated with a BA in Marketing. Rowan remains committed to volunteer public service and is actively involved in several local community organizations and justice based initiatives.

Victoria Zimmerman, Manager, U.S. Sustainability McDonald’s USA, LLC
Victoria serves as Manager of U.S. Sustainability within Supply Chain. Leading multiple cross-functional sustainability initiatives with a focus on environmental and social impact her role links key influential groups. Consistent with the focus of the US Sustainability department Victoria drives impact in transforming waste into resources and educates external and internal stakeholders.

Prior to joining the US Sustainability Team, Victoria held several positions while completing her MBA in Strategy, Social Entrepreneurship and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As a consultant, Victoria worked developing growth strategies and marketing for sustainable low income housing in Nicaragua, as well as working on McDonald’s supply chain creating strategies highlighting environmental responsibility in sourcing. In addition, Victoria held various positions with UBS Financial Services, The Chicago Wolves and played volleyball throughout Europe.
Victoria holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public/Environmental Affairs from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree in Human Capital Management from Utah State University. She is originally from Barrington, IL, and currently resides in Chicago. Victoria also serves on the auxiliary board for the Sue Duncan Children’s Center since 2008
