Awards and Recognition

Net Impact Central is proud of our community and annually awards Chapters who have gone above and beyond. With only about 30% of Chapters achieving Gold Status, we are excited about the combined impact we can make as we strive to do more together! Our top Chapters compete for Chapter of the Year. We applaud our top Chapters for helping us make Net Impact a stronger community.

Gold Status

Gold status recognizes Chapters that go above and beyond in providing their members with opportunities to make an impact in their community, learn and grow as individuals, and engage with the larger Net Impact community. Gold Chapters earn recognition on Net Impact’s website, a special logo recognizing the Chapter’s accomplishments, and consideration for Net Impact Chapter of the Year.

Details for Gold Status for 2023-24

To achieve Gold status, Chapters must fulfill all Net Impact requirements and earn 1000 points from the list of options below for activity from July 2023 - June 2024:

Develop a Strong Leadership Team

Have one Chapter Leader attend each day of our 2023 Chapter Leader Summit (dates coming soon). Each leader that attends will receive 50 Gold Status Points for attending one day, and 125 Gold Status Points for attending both days. For example, if three Chapter Leaders attend both days of the summit, your Chapter will receive 375 Gold Status Points
Have a chapter advisor with an active email address registered within Net Impact’s system on February 1, 2024 (student Chapters only) - 150 points
- Professional Chapters will be given a 100 point credit since this is not applicable to them
- If you’re uncertain about whether your Chapter has this information updated within Net Impact’s system, email chapters@netimpact.org.
Have at least 4 of your Chapter’s leadership team members with an active email address in Net Impact’s system on February 1, 2024 - 150 points

Participate in Net Impact Programs, Events, and Community

Put on your own events and projects - 100 points per event/project (points will be counted through information your Chapter provides in Annual Chapter Reporting)
Attend Net Impact Virtual Events - 25 points per Chapter member per event attended (NI Central will track your your Chapter's event attendance)
Participate in a Net Impact Central Program - 200 points per program (NI Central will track your Chapter's program participation)
Submit an annual plan - 200 points (email a copy to chapters@netimpact.org)
Collaborate with another Chapter - 100 points (you must submit Chapter collaboration through Annual Chapter Reporting)

Engage with the Leader Community on Circle

Join the Chapter Leader community on Circle - 25 points per leader. Register here
Be active on Circle by sharing a chapter win or chapter event - 25 points, can be earned once per quarter
Utilize the topical resources on Circle - 50 points. Topics guides include impact investing, plastics, and more. Email chapters@netimpact.org to tell us how you used the resources

Chapters of the Year

Chapters of the Year exemplify dedication to Net Impact’s mission by inspiring their local community to make a positive difference in the world through dynamic events, programming, and partnerships in five categories: Undergraduate, Graduate, Professional, International Student, and International Professional. These chapters succeed by accomplishing ambitious goals and facilitating a profound impact across multiple environmental, economic, and social issues.
